A Deed Transfer occurs when one party wishes to transfer property to another party without an actual sale of the property.
There are many situations where one party wishes to transfer title (or a portion of their title) to another without an arms-length sale (actual sale of the property). Some examples of transfers are transfers between former spouses or between family members. In these situations, there is no “sale” of the property and no money generally changes hands other than the legal $1.00 tender.
Our office will prepare all of the documents necessary to validly transfer property between family members and former spouses. The cost for us to prepare the documents is $ 100.00. The County Clerk's Office charges an additional fee for filing the papers. As the fees for filing deeds differ from county to county, we will submit to you the completed papers and you will file them at your County Clerk’s Office. We guarantee acceptance of your documents by the Clerk’s Office.
